— Our Story
"Art should make you feel something you don't have a name for yet."
VIBRATIONS; a curated artist collective. We're Booklab — a small, tight-knit group responsible for this year's Vibrations Magazine! Much like our publication, we're quite a vibrant group. We are diligent, dedicated, and passionate; both in and out of class. We hope you enjoy our hard work, and more importantly: the hard work of the artists.
1963
Founded in 1963, VIBRATIONS is a collective of independent artists across 5 disciplines, united by a shared vision to create bold, unconventional art that moves people emotionally and culturally.
Our Manifesto
EVCC Vibrations exists to create art that moves people emotionally, culturally, and creatively. We believe art is more than expression — it is energy, storytelling, and connection that can inspire new perspectives and bring communities together.
Our purpose is to produce meaningful creative experiences that amplify authentic voices, challenge convention, and leave a lasting impact through visual, experiential art.
We exist to transform ideas into living art that people can feel, remember, and carry with them long after the moment ends.
As we continue to grow through visual art, production, and immersive experiences, we transform raw ideas into vibrations that carry meaning, energy, and story. Every project we create is rooted in authenticity, collaboration, and the desire to leave a lasting emotional impact.
Because art is more than entertainment.
It is Connection.
It is Movement.
It is Vibrations.
What We Stand For
Art is meant to bring people together. We value collaboration, shared experiences, and building spaces where people feel seen, inspired, and connected.
We believe creativity should constantly evolve. We push boundaries, experiment fearlessly, and embrace new ways to bring ideas to life.
We believe in creating art that is genuine and true to the artist's vision. We value honesty, integrity, and the courage to express oneself authentically.
The People
Art Director
Hi, I'm Laura. I',m a graphic design student who sees art as part of who I am, not just something I make. I love using colors, ideas, and emotions to create visuals that feel personal and meaningful. My goal is to design work that tells a story, connects with people, and shows the beauty in creativity.
Program Master & Chief Editor
Hi everyone! My name is Danielle, and I am the Program Master for this year's Vibration Magazine. I am currently studying Graphic & Web Design at EVCC. I am passionate about art, design, and creativity in all forms. I have three huskies and I enjoy a good book, movie, or video game when I have free time.
Marketing Designer
I'm Paulina, a Graphic Designer with a passion for all things pink. I served as the Social Media and Marketing Manager, focusing on promoting the magazine and our call to artists. Outside of design, I enjoy exploring the outdoors and relaxing at home with my cat, Blitz!
Production Designer
I am a digital artist and photographer based in Everett, Washington. I study production at EvCC's ATA program. I rockhound creek beds and forage timber edges. My work lives in digital illustration, photography, drawings, and paintings.
Art Director
My name is Jovelle and I am a digital artist based in Everett, WA. I am one third of the Art Direction team. When I'm not focused on schoolwork, I'm running my vintage resell business or experimenting with many artistic mediums.
Project Manager
I'm Maxim. Most people call me Max. I helped organize files and proofread text within Vibrations Magazine. I'm working towards my Graphic Design degree. I love my ungrateful son (cat) Benji.
Project Manager
Hello! I'm Biance, one half of the Project Management team. I helped organize artists' artwork submissions, lay out the publication, and proofread our inDesign file. I will be graduating with my Graphic and Web Design degree here soon! We'll see where life takes me after this.
Editor
I'm Aly. I handled the bulk of sequencing and putting together half of the photography section, including the 4-page centerfold spread. My favorite animal is the orca, and my favorite color is a soft baby pink.
Art Director
Hi, my name is Jocelyn. I'm part of the art direction team. I took on the task of designing the inner pages for this publication. I'm currently enrolled at EVCC for the Graphic Design Certificate Program.
Production Designer
My name is Skylah, and I am part of the production design team, where I've helped with page layouts and created flyers for the marketing team. Most of the time, you can find me glued to a screen creating something new or buried in a sketchbook.
